I had also mentioned we would eat at their café, but there was a misunderstanding and no meal was available when we arrived. I had spent a lot of time reading travelers blogs, to find the right place for a tea factory visit and had finally chosen Amba estate and booked a private visit in the afternoon for my family. Recommend to check the weather before coming or bring umbrella or a coat you don't know whenever it will rain.ĭefinitely recommended things to do in Hambantota on a day tour. They served mostly local snacks and juices. Washroom area is available.Īfter a 2 and half hours hours strolling went to this small cafe like area it's on left side near the entrance with an outdoor seating seeing the park entrance not to be missed to view the lovely small lake and its beautiful landscapes. This place is good for shoolchildrens, agro buffs, group of friends to chill out and hang out. Went around the area and saw varieties of plants, etc and really interesting and educational, unfortunately some garden like the anthorium garden is locked. Our first stop was the fish therapy so ticklish. Entrance is charge 20 rupees for locals and 200 rupees for foreigners and also 20 rupees for our scooter parking. Location wise it is so convenient for public transport busses too. Found this place by passing the main road thru an scooter and the entrance caught our attention so we tried and worth it. ![]()
